What troopers! Here I was in my cozy boots, 17 layers, hand warmers, gloves, and still freezing; while they pop out of their car in a light sweater for her and a button up shirt for him...all while trudging through the snow in adorable, wedge ankle boots like it was nothing. These two have been together since they were young teenagers...we're talking 14 and 16 years old! Not only did they rock the cold temperature engagement session, but also have been rocking their relationship for eight years!! Pretty awesome.
We started off with some shots at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, which holds special meaning because it will be home to their upcoming summer wedding. The setting was a winter wonderland with almost a foot of snow, a foggy background atop the lake, and snowflakes drifting through the air.
Aren't they adorable??
We then went for a walk downtown to make use of the old, brilliant walls with so many textures and styles. We found some great stairs and intersections...and I LOVE when a cute little boutique has adorable, rustic chairs sitting at their store front.
The snow was flakey...we wanted to mold a cute heart snowball for her magical ring to sit in. No luck. It wouldn't pack. Instead we got this awesome shot:
The flakey snow was also great for this.....
While walking the streets of downtown Coeur d'Alene we stumbled across a little park covered in a blanket of snow. Perfect for some cuddling on a cozy blanket!
We played around in the snow for a little longer, took some photos in hockey jerseys, then finished the shoot up inside the CDA Resort while warming up on cozy couches next to a fireplace!
Congratulations Devon and Courtney! We are so excited to shoot your wedding this summer!
